Love Doesn't Ask Why
NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS FOR COUPLES
For A Healthier Love Life
Another year has passed and relationships have come and gone. Trials are always part of a couple's life; it should help build you and not break you. This year, make sure that you and your partner have a brand new year ahead, a clean page to write your new year's love life.
Live in the Moment
Many couples drift apart during the span of their relationships because they just tend to focus more on the future or the past that they tend to forget the present. The best thing a couple can do together is
to be in the present and share the moments. Learn to live in the present with your companions harmoniously. By being there for them, you can connect at a more intimate level~physically, emotionally, and mentally. You can enjoy your time spent together, even
with just talking about simple pleasures in life. If you are in the moment, you can avoid turning little issues into major fights.
Be Open When Communicating
Miscommunication is one of the things that tend to mold or break a relationship. If you want your relationship to flourish, then be open to communicate. Don't block your partner's effort to communicate with you. It's best that you ask them everyday: "Are you happy being with me?", "Do you feel secure and safe?", etc. In that way, you can let your partner feel his/ her importance and that you are willing to do everything to make them happy, feel loved and be content with you.
More often, we open up more to other people other than our partners. That shouldn't be, how would your partner know what you want unless you tell it to them directly? Don't be hesitant, if they do love you then they'd listen to you so be transparent about your goals and what you hope for in your relationship. Breathe in the moment and don't let it slip by.
That New Year's Eve Kiss
New Year's Eve is the last hurrah of the year, the culminating event in a holiday binge of eating, drinking and celebrating. It's a time to don glitzy outfits, reflect on the past, and ponder future resolutions. And then there's the KISS at the stroke of midnight.
Kissing your significant other at the stroke of midnight is another popular tradition in the U.S. Some believe it sets the tone for the new year and believe that failing to kiss someone results in a year of loneliness. Most people just take advantage of this opportunity to express their love and share a special moment with their significant others.
Whether you ring in the new year by watching the Times Square ball drop from your living room TV or toasting champagne at an upscale nightclub, tradition makes a case for celebrating the new year with people you enjoy. According to English and German folklore, the first person you encounter in a new year ~ and the nature of this encounter ~ sets the tone for the rest of the year.
